The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is a luxury car produced in Great Britain in various forms from 1965 to 1980. Succeeding the Silver Cloud, it was the first Rolls-Royce to use a monocoque chassis improving its interior space. It had 3 variants, a 4-door saloon, a 2-door coupe and a cabriolet. Rolls-Royce sister company, Bentley, marketed it as the Bentley T.
In 1971, the coupe and cabriolet were separated and became the Rolls-Royce Corniche and the
Bentley Corniche. In 1977, the saloon was re-designed as the Silver Shadow II, and the Silver Wraith II (long base version) while the Bentley T became the Bentley T II. They were eventually replaced by the
Silver Spirit/Spur and the
Bentley Mulsanne in 1980.
