The Mercedes-Benz W209 was the second and last generation of the 2-door CLK-Class. It replaced the
W208. Considered as the 2-door
W211 it was actually based on the
W203. The CLK-Class was eventually considered an unnecessary classification after 2 generations. Thus in 2009, the whole line was replaced by the new
E-Class Coupes and Convertibles.
